Strive Living Society wishes to acknowledge that too many within our own communities continue to suffer from discrimination and oppression on a regular basis. Dignity and Respect are two of Strive’s core values and we must work together to ensure that each and every one of us can be afforded basic human rights and live free from intolerance and racism. Strive is committed to working to bring about change and will continue to create programming that is fully inclusive, multi-cultural, and embraces diversity.
Strive is built on a foundation of inclusion and supporting those in need of assistance. We know that we are not perfect and will continue to actively examine our own internal systems, policies, and practices.
Strive has made efforts to foster understanding by providing mandatory training to all of its personnel, teaching cultural competency, and how to prevent workplace bullying and harassment. Strive also has an in-depth cultural competency plan and we are proud of our diverse community, including our Board, personnel, and service recipients.
Strive pledges to take action and has zero tolerance for racism. We are committed to continuing our efforts in building an agency free from prejudice, discrimination, racism, and hatred.
